Produced at Braskem crackers, Olefins & Aromatics products are widely used in the chemical industry as base materials for essential sectors of the economy, such as automobiles, packaging, construction, hygiene and cleaning and home appliance sectors, among others.

It is a staple of the modern chemical industry. Because of its qualities of alkalinity, reactivity, and water solubility, commercial liquid caustic soda is an essential reagent for the production of many organic chemicals. Among the key applications is the bleaching of paper and cellulose, besides being widely used in the chemical and petrochemical industries, metallurgy (production of alumina for the aluminum industry), soap and detergents, textile and food industries. Of natural origin, it plays an important role in pollution prevention and in the treatment of effluents, making a series of industrial processes feasible.

Solvents are indispensable to the manufacturing of paints. Correct use facilitates application of the paint and aids in the formation of a quality, defect-free film. Braskem solvents are also present in key adhesives and sealants formulations, helping the adhesion process and optimizing glue drying. We also have a special line of high-purity, high-performance hydrogenated solvents with a very low concentration of aromatic compounds, comprising four products with different distillation ranges, which make it possible to select the ideal solvent for application in lubricants.

Fuel production at Braskem seeks to combine quality, performance and sustainability. Our range includes products such as and regular gasoline, low sulfur oil, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and other special gases, as well as octane and oxygenate boosters.

Braskem is close to its clients and offers market solutions for producers of industrial lubricants, such as polysobutylene (PIB) Braskem, an ideal component for synthetic lubricating oils, grease, and additives, as well as Isoparaffins with different distillation ranges, which enable odorless and colorless solvents to be obtained. In addition, PIB provides for improved plasticizing and the increased fluidity of synthetic rubbers. Also in the rubber segment, Unilene® helps in processing, promoting tack, improving mass homogenization, tire adhesion to wet surfaces and reducing rolling resistance.
